Branch 90th Anniversary Open Day – Saturday 18th June

The Melton Mowbray Royal British Legion’s 90th anniversary open day will feature the history of the RBL at national and local levels including welfare work, remembrance, poppy & legion in the community with the pictorial displays and memorabilia to be held in part of the concert and committee rooms from 10.45am till 5pm on the 18th of June. The club will be open to members of the general public with committee members in attendance to answer any questions about the work of the legion you may have and give you a guided tour of the club if you wish.

In the afternoon between 2pm and 4pm there will be a children’s disco with the popular ‘Shane Mousley’ and face painting 2pm till 3pm. This is a chance for you to come alone and see what the Legion is all about.

Sunday 19th June 6pm

A service of commemoration and thanksgiving for 90 years’ service of the Melton branch taken by our branch Chaplin, Rev. P. Macdonald will be held in Sage Cross Methodist church to which all are welcome.
